Terms.

The ground rules for using this site and its tools.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

tapia.us is a personal website offering a small set of free web utilities. By accessing the site or using its tools, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Use of the site

You may use the site and its tools for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the tools against systems, domains, or networks you do not own or have explicit permission to test.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
  • Automate, scrape, or hammer the endpoints in a way that degrades the service for others. The tools are rate limited, and that limit must not be circumvented.
  • Use the site to violate any law or the rights of others.

The tools are provided “as is”

The utilities on this site — including the request inspector, encoders, hashing, and the TLS certificate inspector — are offered for convenience with no warranty of any kind. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable, and should not be relied upon for security, legal, financial, or other critical decisions. Always verify important results independently.

In particular, the TLS inspector reads publicly available certificate information from a domain you specify; you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to query that domain.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this site is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools. You use them at your own risk.

Availability and changes

The site is a personal project. It may change, break, or go offline at any time, and tools may be added or removed without notice. These terms may also be updated; continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Intellectual property

The site’s design, text, and code are the property of the operator unless otherwise noted. You may not copy or redistribute them as your own without permission. Data you submit to a tool remains yours.

Privacy

Use of the site is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains the limited data the site processes.
